About

We often label parts of ourselves as bad. We judge them as unloveable, cruel, stupid, or evil. We push them aside, and we do so with good reason!

Maybe we hate the way we respond to life events. Or we have reactions we don’t understand. Maybe we are even aware that we will act in a certain way but feel unable to stop it. Why wouldn’t we give all these things the boot? And curse when they ring the doorbell the next morning?

Yet these parts are often merely misunderstood. Perhaps they have outlived their usefulness. Perhaps they no longer serve or suit. Perhaps they have a point, but they are ten years too late. Frustrating? Definitely. Changeable? You betcha.

It is important to listen to these parts because they may in fact be the very thing you need to make change in your life. How different would your life be if you listened to these parts and really tried to understand the better life they want for you?

(Corny, but that’s my job!)

I focus on creating a space that allows for folks to feel comfortable enough to explore, reflect, and sometimes even laugh. Learn more about my services or send me a note.

Services

Services

Individual Therapy

I take a predominantly psychodynamic and relational approach to one-on-one work, but I'm a firm believer in tailoring the approach to meet you where you're at. I work with adults 18+.

Couples Therapy

I help couples approach difficulties with curiosity. Early previously successful survival strategies can create impasses in relationships, where they no longer work. My goal is to help all members of a relationship to identify new ways of being together.

Consultation and Supervision

I utilize the developmental model of supervision, which focuses on increasing your motivation, autonomy, and awareness.

Specialties

My specialties include LGBTQIA+, polyamory, sex positive and kink friendly, recurring dysfunctional relational patterns, infidelity, depression, anxiety, and life transitions.
